Techniques like awareness, breathing, and self-talk are not last-minute fixes to use "in the lobby" before a big meeting. To be effective under pressure, they must be front-loaded and practiced consistently, just like elite athletes train their bodies and technical skills well before a competition.
People who have confronted and worked through personal trauma develop deep self-awareness and resilience. They are no longer governed by external pressures but by internal values, making them exceptionally reliable partners in high-stakes environments because they know what they stand for and have your back.
High-pressure nerves can be managed by rating your internal activation on a 1-10 scale, which corresponds to a performance curve. The optimal zone is a '4-5-6' where energy is high but harnessed ('butterflies in formation'). This turns a vague feeling of nervousness into a measurable state you can adjust.
